Role OverviewThe Executive Commercial Lines Underwriter is responsible for underwriting risk, managing a high-volume agency assignment, and ensuring the utmost satisfaction for our Insureds. The role involves analyzing and evaluating new submissions and renewal accounts, reviewing data from various sources, and articulating principles of risk management.
What You Will Do
The underwriter will determine acceptability of the risk, interpret and process data, and communicate appetite, underwriting standards, and declination reasons to Agents and internal partners. They will also cultivate strong business relationships, anticipate and meet customer needs, and manage a high-volume agency assignment.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Lines Middle Market Underwriting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of General Liability, Worker's Compensation, Property, and Commercial Auto lines of business
- Proven track record of successful underwriting and portfolio management in the middle market segment
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
