Role Overview

As a Executive Director, Global Marketing – HIV & Emerging Viruses at Gilead, you will act as a highly strategic, enterprise leadership responsible for shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for HIV and emerging virus therapies. You will operate at the intersection of R&D, Commercial, and Corporate Development, driving aligned strategy from early development through global launch and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities include: Enterprise Portfolio & Strategy Leadership, Development-to-Commercial Integration, Global Product Strategy & Launch Excellence, Global Commercial Execution & Lifecycle Management, and Cross-Functional & Global Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 16+ years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree and 14+ years of relevant experience
  • PhD and 14+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD)
  • Significant experience in global pharmaceutical marketing and strategy
  • Proven expertise in HIV therapeutic area marketing
  • Strong track record in new product planning, portfolio strategy, and lifecycle management
  • Experience leveraging market research and forecasting to drive strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex global, matrixed teams
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across R&D and commercial organizations
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to design and execute multi-dimensional commercial strategies at global scale
