Role Overview

The Executive Director of Facility Programs will oversee the day-to-day operation of mandated services, advancement, and enrichment activities, as well as discharge planning/reintegration services at one or more facilities. They will supervise and support uniformed members assigned to Programs, Learning Labs, and programmatic spaces at the commands. The Executive Director will work closely with the Assistant Commissioner and other city agencies to achieve programmatic goals.

What You Will Do

The Executive Director will provide overall direction and oversight of programs and services, supervise and mentor direct reports, conduct focus groups, plan and implement initiatives to improve program effectiveness, and ensure compliance with data collection and reporting mechanisms.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • Four years of full-time experience in corrections, social work, psychology, law, public administration, law enforcement, or a related field
  • At least one year of experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative, or consultative capacity
