Role OverviewThe Expeditor I will be responsible for expediting, routing, and dispatching materials and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. They will review master production schedules to determine possible and actual shortages and alert proper authorities of potential problems. The Expeditor I will generate progress reports on schedule status and keep records of completed orders.
What You Will Do
The primary responsibilities of the Expeditor I include taking action to expedite materials, reporting on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications. They will also establish priority schedules for Work-In-Progress (WIP) and resolve and recover from negative impact on schedules.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in this role, you will need to have considerable knowledge of the job and be proficient in Excel. You should also have knowledge in MRP software and be able to read a bill of materials. The Expeditor I will work closely with the production team and attend production and program meetings as necessary.
