Role OverviewPeraton is seeking an experienced background investigator to work independently while also as a member of a team of investigators and with a field manager. The investigator will be responsible for conducting in-person background investigations, record searches, and typing and reporting information in a clear and concise report on a government-issued computer system.
What You Will Do
The investigator will travel daily, schedule and conduct face-to-face interviews, perform record searches, and type and report all obtained information. The investigator will also work independently while being a member of a team and interact professionally with others.

Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- At minimum, High School diploma
- 1 year of specialized Federal Background Investigative experience within the last five years
- 3 years of general experience within the last 5 years and Completion of “New Investigator” training
- A valid driver's license and a personal vehicle
- Required to carry sufficient motor vehicle insurance
