Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a full-time experienced background investigator to reside within 50 miles of Arlington, TX. The investigator will travel daily for in-person background investigations, conduct face-to-face interviews, and perform record searches. The role requires working independently and as part of a team, interacting professionally with others, and maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
What You Will Do
The investigator will be responsible for conducting background investigations, scheduling and conducting interviews, performing record searches, typing and reporting information, and working independently as part of a team. The role requires daily travel, interacting with various individuals, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and ethics.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of specialized Federal Background Investigative experience and 3 years of general experience in law enforcement or investigative functions. The candidate should be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- At minimum, High School diploma
- 1 year of specialized Federal Background Investigative experience within the last 5 years
- 3 years of general experience within the last 5 years
- Completion of ‘New Investigator’ training
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Sufficient motor vehicle insurance
