Job Description
Schnabel is an employee-owned, professional engineering and consulting firm seeking an Experienced Engineering Technician to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Requirements

  • Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed-on fireproofing
  • Soil and concrete laboratory testing
  • Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations
  • Attentive to detail
  • Interest in working outdoors on construction sites
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches per applicable OSHA standards, climb ladders to access elevated spaces and building rooftops, and work outside in potentially challenging weather conditions
  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
