Role OverviewThe Social Media Manager will lead the social presence for some of Charlotte's most recognizable brands and experiences, including Uptown and South End. The role involves creating compelling content, experimenting with new ideas, and collaborating with local creators. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who consistently generates fresh ideas and enjoys experimenting.
What You Will Do
The primary responsibilities include leading day-to-day social media strategy and execution, developing and managing social media content calendars, capturing original phone video and photo content, producing engaging short-form video and other platform-native content, and managing online community for Uptown and South End.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately 3 to 7 years of professional experience managing social media for a brand, agency, destination, nonprofit, media organization, or similar organization
- Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and, to a lesser extent, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Experience managing paid social advertising campaigns, particularly on Meta
- Experience using social media management and analytics platforms
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience managing creator or influencer partnerships is preferred
