Role OverviewAs a Locator III, you'll independently mark standard, complex & unique underground utilities with flags and paint to help ensure projects are safe and efficient. You'll work in the field, operating detection equipment, troubleshooting difficult locates, and communicating with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff. You'll also perform work in all weather conditions and work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
What You Will Do
Operate detection equipment to locate and mark all facility types and all ticket types in any area. Troubleshoot difficult locates and help in locating high-profile cable lines. Perform audits or damage investigations as assigned by supervisor. Document all locates and respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a minimum of three years locating experience. You'll also need to be able to work in all weather conditions and have a valid State driver's license.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- A minimum of three years locating experience
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
