Job Description
Experimental Process Inspector responsible for performing a wide variety of inspection operations on experimental parts or components for use in experimental, prototype, or development aircraft only. Requires expertise in advanced equipment and technology, including coordinate measuring machines, non-contact metrology equipment, and gear measurement machines.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years programming and operating (GMM) gear measurement machine to check parallel axis gears for gear profile, gear lead, and gear spacing and spiral bevel gear topography and stock removal
  • Inspecting with precision measuring instruments (Examples: optical comparators, Rockwell machines, micrometers, dial bore gauges, etc)
  • Ability to interpret gear engineering requirements and analyze gear measurement machine reports (gear charts)
  • Experience gained at Bell will count toward the required experience and other requirements for job bidding purposes
