Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must pass criminal background checks including drug testing.
  • Must possess New Jersey State Armed Security and Firearms License.
  • Must have the ability to house and care for the canine in your personal residence.
  • Legally own and possess New Jersey registered approved Glock 9mm semiautomatic pistol.
  • Prior law enforcement or military canine handling experience.
  • Prior body-borne or person-borne canine handling experience.
  • Standby duty willingness and availability.
