Job Description
The Explosives Detection Canine (EDC) Handler (Armed) is responsible for conducting thorough searches for explosives alongside an explosives detection canine at client shopping mall locations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must pass criminal background checks including drug testing
  • Must possess Texas State Armed Security and Firearms License
  • Must have the ability to house and care for the canine in your personal residence
  • Legally own and possess Texas registered approved Glock 9mm semiautomatic pistol (preferred)
  • Prior law enforcement or military canine handling experience (preferred)
  • Prior body-borne or person-borne canine handling experience (preferred)
  • Standby duty willingness and availability (preferred)
