External Auditor 2

As an External Auditor 2, you will play an important role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the programs and services provided to clients. You will conduct routine and non-routine audits, examining financial records, verifying transactions, and assessing internal controls. Your work will help identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

What You Will Do

You will work collaboratively with your team and OOD leadership to plan and execute audits, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports. You will also provide resources or references to agency staff and contractors to help them understand the importance of financial controls and compliance.

Requirements

• 4 years' experience in auditing or accounting which must have included 2 years auditing experience in accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies and/or procedures as specified on agency position description.
• Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting, business administration, computer science or related field AND 24 months' experience in auditing or accounting which must have included 12 months' auditing experience in accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies and/or procedures as specified on agency position description.
• Or 12 months' experience as External Auditor 1, 66461.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
