Role Overview

Maintenance Technician II is a full-time position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by responding to maintenance calls, completing simple repairs, and troubleshooting equipment. The role requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow directives. The position is located in Bryan, TX, and requires working 2nd shift (3pm-3am Sunday-Friday).

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, repairing equipment, ordering replacement parts, and performing simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks. The technician will also troubleshoot equipment, learn and support manufacturing equipment recipe changes, and maintain/adjust basic drive train and power train components.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • In progress of obtaining an Associate Degree in related field desired
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge in mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
  • Familiar with electrical measurement devices (voltage meters, micrometers)
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
  • Ability to use windows-based software programs
  • Ability to express verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of simple troubleshooting
  • Skilled in following directives of more senior level technicians and/or Supervision
  • Prefer some level of basic metal fabrication and welding experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
  • Flexible and willing to work various maintenance shifts
  • Able to attend training sessions as required, including out of state travel
