Job Description
Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic architectural fabrication company as a Machining/Fabrication Supervisor. Responsible for leading and developing a team, maintaining work standards, and ensuring quality of work.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years solid supervisory experience in a Machine shop facility
  • 3-5 years' experience in a fabrication department (architectural applications)
  • Experience with welding, brake presses, waterjets and punch presses
  • Experience in G-Code programming
  • Hurco VMC experience a plus
  • Understanding of calculating stretch-out's on bend panel applications
  • Job Shop CNC machine setup experience
  • Previous experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Projects
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interact and interface with production personnel as well as management
  • Familiarity with a multi-departmental manufacturing environment
  • Union experience within a supervisory role a plus
  • Knowledge of production planning
  • Independent worker (must be able to assign and complete assignments independently)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Fluent in use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word and use of production software application
