Role Overview

The Fabrication Detailer is responsible for converting engineering designs into accurate, fabrication-ready 3D models, drawings, and digital manufacturing outputs. This role serves as a key link between Engineering, Project Management, VDC, and Fabrication Operations, helping ensure designs are constructible, aligned with shop capabilities, and delivered on schedule.

What You Will Do

The Fabrication Detailer will detail pressure vessels, design and model industrial structural systems and components, design and detail modular MEP system assemblies, and perform field measurements and develop drawings to support fabrication and installation activities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Design Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Drafting, Construction Technology, or a related technical field
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in fabrication detailing
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling, detailing, and fabrication software
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding methods, material handling, and shop manufacturing practices
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, P&IDs, engineering drawings, project specifications, and applicable industry standards and codes
