Job Description
Role Overview

Fabricators accurately identify different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products that are utilized in industries like construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep-sea recovery and rescue. Items assembled may be constructed with wire, chain or synthetic material.

What You Will Do

Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables, calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies, splicing wire rope and fabricating chain slings, attaching proper tags and labels to products, maintain inventory records, report defective or substandard material supplies or product.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be detail-oriented and skilled, familiar with industrial tools like cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches, proficient at math and reading, able to manage time, accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer, persistent, energetic, and reliable.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. of weight routinely during daily operations
  • Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) is required
  • Precise hand-eye coordination is essential for cutting, splicing, and attaching fittings
  • Must be able to hear warnings or communicate effectively over industrial sounds
