Role OverviewThe Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance and repairs for an assigned region/location of YMCA of Southwest Florida. The role involves providing solutions, recommendations, and conducting repairs, ensuring operational efficiency of equipment and mechanical systems, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include training and supervising employees, negotiating contracts with outside vendors, conducting preventative maintenance, and managing severe weather preparation planning. The role also involves carrying out minor remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities.

Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation
- Specialized knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Valid Driver's License
- Three (3) years clean motor vehicle record with annual updates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions
- Ability to work with APMD to prioritize maintenance requests
- Ability to supervise and direct a small team
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application
