Role OverviewAs a Facilities Technician II, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of launch site building and support systems. You will work as part of a small team requiring minimal supervision, so a self-starter is a must! You will perform routine inspections and repairs of exterior/interior facilities, perform carpentry and painting repairs, and perform plumbing and minor electrical repairs.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining outdoor grounds and parking lots, coordinating with vendors or contractors on larger multi-trade projects, and providing general support during launch campaigns and launch day efforts.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 3+ years of facility or maintenance experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Suite
- Ability to lift and manipulate 50 pounds
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
- Valid "Real ID" driver's license, and clean driving record
- Ability to pass Space Force background checks for Vandenberg SFB, CA
