Job Description
The Facility-Ammonia Refrigeration Supervisor will maintain ammonia equipment, repair boilers, chillers, and auxiliary equipment, and supervise and train team members in maintaining an ammonia refrigeration system. The role will also assist with maintenance needs, cost reduction, and energy efficiency, and monitor load demands and adjust boilers, compressors, and pumps to maintain required steam, air, and water output.

Requirements

  • Operator 1 Ammonia Certification
  • Working towards certification for Operator 2 Ammonia Certification
  • RETA Certification
  • Hazwoper certification
  • 2-5 years of real work experience as a refrigeration technician/operator
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and using software to track equipment, work, time, inspections and expense
  • Experience in process safety management and using software to track all Ammonia system records
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience, knowledge of engine & boiler systems, electricity & motor controls, pneumatics & hydraulics, mechanical systems experience with predictive/preventive maintenance, site utilities, and system troubleshooting
  • Skills in pipefitting, welding, machining, or metal fabrication, electrical and controls
