Role Overview

The Facility Engineering Director will lead the company's operations management team and oversee the transition to a new R&D facility. This includes coordinating major equipment selection and procurement, tactical interface with construction management, contractors, and architects, and detailed planning and execution of the operations move. After the transition, the role will manage all facility operations, from the spaces where employees work and the systems that keep the business running, to the ongoing projects that help the company evolve.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include overseeing site operations, implementing equipment maintenance programs, maintaining equipment and building documentation, managing capital equipment installations, and coordinating office space modifications, upgrades, and construction. The role also involves collaborating with program leaders and functional departments, developing and managing annual overhead budgets, and managing maintenance staff.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in facility operations management in engineering settings
  • Possess working knowledge of TIA/EIA, IEEE, and NEC standards, codes, and regulations, as well as basic knowledge of construction practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Operations expertise with multiple systems and equipment types found in the semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing maintenance and capital projects within a facilities department
  • Ability to work in an industrial plant/facilities environment wearing prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE)
