Role OverviewThe Facility Maintenance Specialist 1 will perform basic preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on electrical wiring systems, fixtures, and controls, plumbing systems, HVAC and mechanical equipment, and structural systems. The role requires a valid driver's license and completion of OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification Course.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will install and replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and fuses; perform basic wiring of single and three-phase motors; repair and install plumbing fixtures; cut, solder, and thread pipes; unclog drains and toilets; grease motors; and assist higher-level workers with the operation and maintenance of low-pressure boilers.

Requirements
- Successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology, or comparable training program
- 1 year of experience in construction/building maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
