Role Overview

The selected candidate will serve as a lead worker within the District 12 Facilities Department, providing work direction and training to lower-level facility maintenance specialists and other assigned maintenance staff. The role involves inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing facilities and equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

What You Will Do

The job duties may include inspecting and repairing facilities and equipment, operating equipment such as mowers, tractors, backhoes, and forklifts, and using a computer to verify data and produce reports.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have completion of an associate core program in facility or industrial maintenance, or successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology, or comparable training program, with 4-5 years of experience in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Valid commercial driver license (if required to operate motorized equipment)
  • Valid driver license (if required to operate state vehicle)
