Role OverviewR+L Carriers is seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician at our Piedmont, SC Service Center. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry trades.
What You Will Do
Perform routine maintenance and repairs across company facilities, troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems, install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, weld and fabricate steel components and equipment, perform general carpentry work, and ensure all work and repairs meet safety and compliance standards.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have strong (Mig/Stick) welding skills with steel, including fabrication and repair, familiarity with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints/schematics. The candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry
- Strong (Mig/Stick) welding skills with steel, including fabrication and repair
- Familiarity with hand and power tools and the ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and building codes
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty and work in varying weather conditions
