Job Description
The Families Together Building Solutions (FTBS) program is a home-based, short-term, strength based, solution-focused family preservation program for children and families referred by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). FTBS assists in reducing child abuse/neglect, provides solution-focused services to assist families with meeting behaviorally specific goals, and to keep families intact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required
  • Minimum 1 year of field experience with children and families with multiple problems
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to have a non-judgmental positive attitude toward families in crisis
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in partnership with other team members and/or service providers
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of brief, solution focused therapy and strength based solution focused intervention strategies
  • Knowledge of local resources
