Role OverviewMerakey is seeking a Family Based Therapist to join their team in Carlisle, PA. The Family Based Therapist works as part of a team providing treatment services to families, including therapy and counseling to children and families. The FBT helps with skills training and education to enable families to care for their mental health children at home.
What You Will Do
The Family Based Therapist will facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, parent coaching, and crisis intervention for each child assigned to their caseload using an Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) model. The FBT will also ensure that every child and family have the necessary service linkages and community supports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 2 years experience in a CASSP program, and experience facilitating family therapy and/or crisis intervention. The candidate will also have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or a graduate degree in the field of human services
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a CASSP program
- Experience facilitating family therapy and/or crisis intervention
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
