Job Description
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Child Welfare Specialist to provide casework services to families and ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS
  • State licensing/certification as required by the state of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
  • Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) or ability to obtain required
  • Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred
  • Training in KEEP and/or GenerationsPMTO or availability to participate in training, coaching and fidelity to certification once hired required
  • Successful completion of CCS Bootcamp required
  • Successful completion of Client-Centered Service Planning and Aftercare Planning Training preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Proof of valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage required
