Role OverviewThe Family Consumer Science Instructor will plan and deliver learning experiences that advance the learning of each individual student. They will design authentic learning experiences for students to learn core knowledge, 21st-century skills, and literacies. The instructor will assist all students to meet or exceed 21st-century knowledge and skills, including state academic achievement standards.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Family Consumer Science Instructor include planning and delivering learning experiences, designing authentic learning experiences, assisting students to meet or exceed 21st-century knowledge and skills, and developing and implementing differentiated instructional strategies.

Requirements
- Hold a Family and Consumer Science (FCS) teaching license issued by the state of Ohio
- Hold a Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential where you are eligible to teach courses in the Culinary (L0) or Hospitality (L1) pathways
- Be eligible for acquiring a teaching license in the FCS or Culinary pathways, as documented by a current CTE-36
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts with evidence of at least two (2) years of recent/related work experience
- Have an Associate's degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts with evidence of at least three (3) years of recent/related work experience
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent and evidence of at least five (5) years of recent work experience in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
