Job Description
Wayside is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Partner to provide supportive services to parents/caregivers of eligible youth. The Family Partner must have lived experience as a parent/primary caregiver of a youth who is/has been involved in the Mental Health system.

Requirements

  • Lived experience as a caregiver of a youth facing challenges with mental health, emotional health and/or trauma resulting in significant life disruption is required.
  • Willingness to share your family’s recovery story in the context of peer support.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health systems and services, DMH, and DCF resources, special education law and services, and other social service resources, and how to access these services.
  • High school diploma or HiSET and a minimum of 2 years experience working with children/adolescent/transition-aged youth.
  • Valid driver’s license/access to reliable automobile.
