Role Overview

STRIDE Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides comprehensive services, including primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, health education, and outreach. As a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Resident, you will commit to a training program based at STRIDE FQHC for the length of the contract.

What You Will Do

You will practice family medicine at a clinic, serving all ages of the community at large in primary care. You will work under the advisement of the program and preceptors, attend didactics, and participate in the program, evaluations, quality improvement projects, etc.

Requirements

  • Masters in nursing from an accredited nursing program/Physician Assistant licensure and certification
  • Board certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado
  • Active BLS/CPR certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge in primary care specialty
  • Ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts
  • Ability to demonstrate the capability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of the full range of STRIDE’s patient population
  • Ability to work independently, accept feedback and teaching, and organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to collaborate with other providers and clinical staff to develop continual quality improvement procedures
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of patient, employee, and business information
  • Skill in using a variety of computer software including but not limited to the internet and MS Office Products
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with electronic health records (EHR) system
