Role Overview

The Family Resource Specialist is responsible for providing support to families, assessing their needs, and developing service plans. They will also provide referrals to community resources, maintain participant files, and contribute to weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports. The role requires establishing trusting relationships, promoting healthy childhood growth, and enhancing family well-being.

What You Will Do

The Family Resource Specialist will complete the FROG Scale with families, initiate and maintain regular contact with families, and provide support and referrals as needed. They will also create and maintain participant files and provide required information for reports.

Requirements

  • minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • college coursework preferred
  • experience in working with or providing services to children and their families
  • ability to establish trusting relationships and acceptance of individual differences
  • experience and humility to work with culturally diverse families
  • knowledge of infant and child development
  • bilingual Haitian Kreyol (Highly Preferred)
