Role OverviewThe Family Resources Specialist will support and provide resource services to case management staff and families, serving as a liaison among families, case management, and community agencies. The role requires familiarity with California Department of Social Services rules and regulations, knowledge of the Strengthening Families concept, and excellent communication skills. The Specialist will work collaboratively with case management staff and community agencies to assess and support the needs of children and families.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the Family Resources Specialist include providing information and referrals to clients, developing individualized plans with families, conducting follow-up procedures, and ensuring timely provision of family services. The Specialist will also assist with parent workshops, outreach, and community events, and participate in activities to ensure best practices and program quality.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Child/Human Development, Family Marriage or related support field
- Two years of related experience
- Familiarity with California Department of Social Services rules and regulations
- Knowledge of the Strengthening Families concept
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
