Role Overview

The Family Social Service Coordinator will support the Family Partnerships Team in connecting residents to critical services, implementing programs and policies that support household stability, tenancy, individual advancement, and aging-in-place. The role will involve working with external providers and City agencies, and reunifying families with justice history.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include maintaining a client caseload, conducting home visits and assessments, tracking resident interactions, communicating with NYCHA departments, and coordinating with external social services partners and providers.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above
  • At least one year of experience as described in '1' above
