Role OverviewThe Skills Trainer provides individualized home support for an individual with developmental disabilities, implementing program activities to foster growth and address treatment plan goals.
What You Will Do
Teach daily living skills, provide supportive counseling, maintain programmatic documentation, and maintain progress notes on the individual.

Requirements
- Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and educational needs of adults and children with disabilities
- Good writing and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work effectively with adults and children with developmental disabilities
- Sensitivity to the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively with other providers and neighbors
- Sensitivity to confidentiality
