Role Overview

The Family Systems Navigator – Mobile Response Team (MRT) will assist families involved with child welfare in navigating the child welfare system, coordinating services, and connecting families with appropriate resources. This role will work collaboratively with Child Welfare, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and School Districts to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and serve as a liaison and navigation coordinator.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting parents and families in navigating the child welfare system, reducing fragmentation of care by coordinating services, and serving as a navigation resource for families and system partners. The Family Systems Navigator will also work collaboratively with Child Welfare to assist foster parents in preventing placement disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working within children’s systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Child Welfare, School Systems, and Juvenile Justice
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with families, system partners, and multidisciplinary teams
