Role Overview

This role is a part-time Farm Specialist position at Miraval Austin Resort and Spa, a well-being-focused resort. The specialist will provide lectures, workshops, and classes related to Animal Connection, Agriculture, Nature Connections, and wellness/meditations at the Cypress Creek Farm. The role involves guest consultations, curriculum development, and collaboration with the department and resort initiatives.

What You Will Do

Provide a variety of lectures, workshops, and classes for guests relating to Animal Connection, Agriculture, Nature Connections, and wellness/meditations. Offer one-on-one guest consultations on lifestyle issues, maintain program materials, develop new curriculum, and manage attendance numbers for facilitated classes. Fulfill marketing requests such as article and blog posts, and proactively engage in communication with the team.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in integrative health and wellness programs, preferably in a spa or resort setting, and at least 2 years' experience in independent practice or facilitating groups. The role requires strong communication and public speaking skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and in all weather conditions. Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in integrative health and wellness focused programs, preferably in a spa or resort settings
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in independent practice and/or facilitating groups
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively and empathically to sensitive guest issues and complaints
  • Ability to write reports, lectures and articles
  • Ability to create and give clear, concise presentations
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Polished and professional physical presentation, appropriate for brand representation
  • Computer proficiency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Impeccable service skills with keen ability to foster and grow client relationships
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must live in the Austin, TX area
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle and have a valid driver's license
  • Must be available to work in all weather conditions
