Role OverviewThe Federal Contract Manager will provide accurate and timely commercial and compliance advice for AECON, consistent with their education, training, and experience. The role involves active engagement in front-end strategic assessment of bids and proposals, developing customer engagement strategies, and negotiating directly with customers and industry peers.
What You Will Do
The Federal Contract Manager will handle all contracts duties, lead coordination of payment issues, and assist project staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents. They will also assist in the formation and administration of contracts with Subcontractors and act as the point of contact to Client for contractual matters.

Requirements

- Experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts in corporate setting
- Knowledge of project operations, policies, procedures, and strategic direction
- Understanding of project planning, scheduling and management
- Experience dealing with labor obligations and their impact on the Project
- Ability to grasp technical and commercial issues, understand how they fit within the contractual context, and develop appropriate written positions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

- Exceptional knowledge of FAR, DFAR, DEAR
