Job Description
The Ohio Consumers' Counsel seeks a Federal-State Energy Analyst to advocate and educate for Ohioans' affordable, reliable, and equitable residential utility services. The role involves research, analysis, policy and technical advice, technical and persuasive writing, and written and oral presentations for utility consumer advocacy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in utility regulation
  • Familiarity with federal and state electric policy, electric wholesale and retail markets, transmission regulatory issues, and fundamentals of utility regulation
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or other related degree
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Excellence in oral and written communications, including persuasive writing and making technical issues understandable
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word, and Outlook), online research, and other technology used in consumer advocacy
