Job Description
U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a proven industry professional to serve as a member of a ferry boat crew, providing assistance in loading and unloading the vessel with vehicles, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and adhering to all U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

Requirements

  • Direct vehicles and passengers to the proper location with clearly understood signals during loading and unloading operations
  • Ensure proper spacing between vehicles, allowing for safe egress of passengers
  • Properly chock first and last vehicle in each lane
  • Provide information and assistance to passengers
  • Properly handle vessel lines as required
  • Correctly stand lookout watch when required
  • Properly patrol decks and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
  • Ensure cleanliness of assigned areas and empty trash
  • Serve as emergency Helmsmen
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the vessel
  • Be alert to security violations and suspicious behavior
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Perform security sweeps of the vessel between unloading and loading to ensure passenger access areas are clear of passengers and vehicles at the end of each passage
