Role OverviewThe Festival Coordinator, Volunteer Resources is responsible for recruiting, placing, and onboarding volunteers to support the operations of the Sundance Film Festival. This temporary position works full-time (40 hours per week) from September 14, 2026, through February 19, 2027, and requires extended hours, including evenings and weekends. The position may be based in one of four main hubs: Los Angeles, California; Boulder, Colorado; New York, New York; or Salt Lake City, Utah.
What You Will Do
The Festival Coordinator will drive the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, assessing volunteer applications, interviewing, and placing volunteers. They will also work with assigned Festival teams to understand their needs and place qualified candidates in roles. The Coordinator will provide support and accountability to Festival teams, ensure alignment with department processes, and communicate expectations and accountability to volunteers.

Requirements
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to take initiative and strong analytical skills
- Experience with Airtable is a plus
- Prior experience working with volunteers is a plus
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
