Festival Environmental Graphic Designer

The Festival Environmental Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing large-scale environmental graphics for the Sundance Film Festival. The role requires flexibility, including extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak periods, as well as travel to Institute locations, events, and meetings as needed. This temporary position works full time (40 hours per week) from Wednesday, September 2, 2026 through Tuesday, January 26, 2027.

What You Will Do

The top priorities include creating media-rich graphic visuals to create a sense of place and enhance identity through large-scale designs for the Sundance Film Festival, designing visually appealing building wraps, banners, etc., conveying the ideas, images, and messaging of the Festival, and providing graphic assets to outside vendors, partners, outlets, etc. on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• 2 years of design experience with a background in graphics, brand strategy, designing spatial environments, print design, and production
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Design experience with signage and wayfinding, and specifying materials
• Knowledgeable in printing production methods, fabrication, and installation
• Photo manipulation on digital images (resize, crop, add/remove objects, and color correct)
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent Typography skills
