Job Description
The Fiber Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks across multiple job sites.

Requirements

  • Installation of fiber splice enclosures
  • Onsite plant fiber optic cable slicing
  • Fusion Splicing
  • Unidirectional and bidirectional fiber testing
  • Light Level Testing, OLTS
  • Fiber troubleshooting and repair
  • Coordinate daily crew activities and work schedule
  • Maintaining a safe and quality work site and location
  • Maintain Fiber equipment and tools
  • Daily inspection of all equipment assigned to crew
  • Maintain daily production rates
  • Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and according to company safety and OSHA practices
