Role OverviewThe Fiber Technician will perform various tasks related to fiber optic installation, testing, and splicing. The role requires 100% travel within the USA and involves working at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces. The Fiber Technician must be self-motivated, positive, and professional, with the ability to create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
What You Will Do
The Fiber Technician will install racks, patch panels, fiber optic, and hardware. They will perform testing, troubleshoot, and splicing tasks, including continuity testing, using an OTDR, and performing mechanical and fusion splicing. The Fiber Technician will also terminate simplex and duplex jumper cord, install fan out kits, and calculate end-to-end loss budgets.
