Fiber Yard Operator

The Fiber Yard Operator is responsible for staging raw materials for the paper mill, operating equipment, and maintaining inventory. They must be able to communicate clearly with the team and supervisor, read orders, and possess basic mathematical skills. The role requires operating Fork-Lifts, Front End Loaders, and/or Bobcat mobile equipment, and working in a safe manner.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include staging raw materials, operating equipment, maintaining inventory, and completing documentation. The Fiber Yard Operator must be able to read orders, possess basic mathematical skills, and communicate clearly with the team.

Requirements

• Ability to read orders and prepare reports legibly
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with the team and supervisor
• Ability to operate Fork-Lifts, Front End Loaders, and/or Bobcat mobile equipment
• Ability to climb up onto various types of industrial equipment
• Excellent depth perception to maneuver equipment and raw materials
• Ability to frequently get on and off equipment
• Use of hand tools, specifically cutting pliers
