Field Data Collections Technician

This is a single, multi-modal field role where technicians are trained and expected to operate all our collection systems, including driving a LiDAR-equipped collection vehicle, riding survey e-scooters, and working on foot to collect data. The role involves capturing data in the field using Citylogix's proprietary devices, applications, and methods, and transferring it daily using company software. Technicians will work independently, often traveling alone, and will be deployed to project sites for weeks at a time.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of the role include operating the collection vehicle and LiDAR system, operating survey e-scooters, working on foot to collect data, following Citylogix's proprietary collection procedures, and transferring collected data daily. Technicians will also be responsible for handling daily equipment setup, mounting, care, and transport, and for meeting delivery and quality targets on every project.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing, with a safe driving record
• Valid passport and ability to cross the Canada–U.S. border for company training sessions and meetings
• Ability to ride an e-scooter for 8–10 hour shifts and to walk 5–10 km in a day
• Physical ability to lift, move, mount, and unmount equipment of 20+ kg on a daily basis
• Willingness to travel for weeks at a time, work overtime, and work occasional weekends
• Flexibility to sudden changes in schedule, location, and assigned collection type
• Written and verbal fluency in English
• High School Diploma / GED
• Successful completion of a background check and driving record review
