Role Overview

The HR Specialist for Employee Relations role will be located on a jobsite in Abilene, TX. The position may transition in the future to other Kiewit projects. This individual will also work closely with our safety, security, and business teams and have a passion for service in meeting the HR needs of this mega-project.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include overall responsibility for all Employee Relations activities on the project, ensuring compliance with all Employment Poster requirements, overseeing and managing the project Leave Processes, developing and conducting EEO training, and leading HR efforts responding to EEO, workplace, and hotline reports.

We're looking for a driven individual with 1-3 years of Human Resources experience, a degree in Human Resources or related, and proficiency in Microsoft programs. The ideal candidate will have impeccable judgment and discretion, excellent reporting and communication skills, and the ability to work self-directed with an off-site manager.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Degree in Human Resources or related
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Work, Excel, Smartsheet, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work self-directed with an off-site manager
  • Ability to travel and work from different locations effectively and efficiently
  • Impeccable judgment and discretion
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills
  • Experienced working on a team that excels operationally and are laser focused on key stakeholder experience
