Job Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting for a Field Project Technician in Missoula. This position is responsible for coordinating and conducting inspections, sampling, and testing procedures to verify construction project features and materials. The position reports to the Engineering Project Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Coursework in algebra, geometry, or trigonometry
  • Experience in highway construction or related field (optional)
  • Knowledge of project inspection and testing procedures, surveying, and highway construction methods
  • Familiarity with State, AASHTO, FHWA, and ASTM standards and specifications
