Role OverviewJoin Mustang Cat as a Field Service Electrician and become part of a team that powers Texas. In this critical role, you’ll travel to customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar power generation equipment, including diesel and gas engines, switchgear, and complex electrical systems.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot and repair CAT engine controls, electrical systems, and power generation equipment at customer locations. Key responsibilities include: troubleshooting and repairing engines, generators, controls, switchgear, and wiring, and generating detailed field service reports for customer documentation.

Requirements
- Must own proper tools to perform all necessary field repairs
- Associate’s degree or certificate from a technical school preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience troubleshooting engine controls and wiring
- C175 engine experience a plus
- CAT Switchgear experience a plus
- Proficient with AC/DC circuits, schematics, and general mechanical systems
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
- Strong understanding of Caterpillar generators, switchgear, and load bank operations
- Field service experience with diesel engines, gas compression, and PLC/HMI systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field
