Role OverviewThe Field Service Rotator I is responsible for working and driving alone performing basic to advanced maintenance functions, procedures, activities, and responsibilities associated with working on gas compression packages. The role involves learning from and assisting other technicians with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installation, and commissioning of both gas-fired and electric-driven compressor packages. The purpose of the Field Service Rotator I level is to acquire proficiency in performing advanced maintenance, new equipment installation, and overhaul actions with limited supervision that will allow for progression to the Field Service Rotator II.
What You Will Do
Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and other necessary paperwork daily. Provide basic leadership and training to new Field Service Technician I and Trainees. Diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently. Complete accurate and timely diagnostics and repairs of compressors, engines, and controls on gas compressor packages in the field in adverse conditions with limited to no supervision.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of applicable experience, understanding of Caterpillar Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP) and similar OEM software, and experience working on a wide range of natural gas compressor packages. Certification from CAT/Waukesha (or equivalent training) is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and some vocational/technical related experience preferred
- 3-5 years applicable experience
