Field Service Technician - Material Handling Equipment

Abel Womack is seeking skilled and motivated Field Service Technicians to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and other automated material handling equipment. You will work directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges, apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training, and represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
